We had such a fantastic first day back at school and it was lovely to hear all about the wonderful things children got up to in the holidays. In the afternoon we listened to the story of the Empty Stocking and then had a go at guessing what was in some miniature stockings. We felt and shook them to make our guesses based on the size, feel and sound and then compared some of the objects inside.
